Are your products live, fresh or frozen?
We have a range of live & fresh seafood available, the only frozen item(s) we have would be the Chilean Cod, which is typically frozen in Singapore! Another frozen item would be the Cooked Silverfish.
Are your products wild caught or farmed?
All products unless otherwise stated are wild-caught from Indonesia and Malaysia. Our farmed products are mostly from Malaysia.
Are your products descaled and gutted prior to delivery?
Yes! All of our products (except kuning) will be cleaned thoroughly, including the descaling and degutting for the ease of our customers.
Do you provide slicing services for fillets?
Unfortunately, we regret to inform you that slicing services will not be available at the moment due to the lack of manpower ):
What is the difference between a steak cut and a fillet?
A steak cut is when the cut is made directly through the bone. Hence, the cross section of the steak cut will contain a bone in the center. Fillets on the other hand have little to no bones as only the meat is taken out. You may refer to our individual product images for reference. :)
If I order a whole fish, can I request for it to be cut according to my requests?
Yes, please indicate your preferred way of cutting under special instructions for seller during checkout! You can request for fillet/steak/butterfly cut.
For bigger whole fish like batang you are even allowed to have a mixture of fillets and steaks.
Are the product images shown on the website in accordance to the weight I ordered?
All images on our website are for illustrative purposes only. You may choose to WhatsApp us for live images of your items required if you are unsure.
How are your products packed for delivery?
All fillets, steaks and stingray will be vacuum-packed by default. Products like prawns and sotong will be sealed but not vacuum packed, while whole fish are put into food grade plastic bags and not sealed.
Is there a minimum order for delivery?
Yes, the minimum order for delivery is $50 (excluding delivery fee)! Free delivery is above $70, whilst a $10 delivery fee applies if your order is between $50 to $70.
What are your delivery timings and can I choose my delivery timing?
We deliver between 9AM to 2.30PM on Tuesdays to Sundays (including PHs). We seek your understanding on our delivery timings as we are unable to accommodate different timeslots for every individual customer.
The timing at which you receive your order will differ daily depending on our driver's optimal route.
Your order should typically arrive before 1/2PM as we start our deliveries early in the morning.
When will I receive my order?
We offer next-day delivery for orders made before 8PM daily. However, there are no deliveries on Mondays!
For example, if you place your order on Monday 7PM, your order will reach you on Tuesday between 9AM-2PM.
If you place your order on Monday 9PM, your order will reach you on Wednesday between 9AM-2PM instead.
What happens when I am not home to receive my order?
We encourage all our customers to at least have someone at home to receive orders physically.
In the unfortunate event that you are unable to receive your order physically, our delivery personnel will try contacting you with the given number for 5 minutes. If you are still uncontactable within 5 minutes, we will leave your order outside your doorstep.
Please note that Catch Of The Day SG will not be liable for any:
- Losses of orders
- Spoilage due to the fact that orders should be promptly refridgerated upon delivery
Where do you deliver to?
We offer island-wide delivery to all Singapore addresses located in the main island (excluding restricted areas like Sentosa and Pulau Ubin).
I want to cancel/make changes to my order, when is the latest I can do it by and how can I go about doing so?
ALL cancellations & changes to orders should be made before 10PM on the day before delivery.
For example, you order on Monday for a delivery to be made on Tuesday. The latest you can cancel/change your order would be before 10PM on Monday.
For advanced orders, if you are ordering on Monday for a delivery to be made on Thursday, the latest you can cancel/change your order would be before 10PM on Wednesday.
Can I request for an exchange or a refund?
As seafood is highly perishable, we will not be able to accept exchange or refund requests.
Refunds will only be made if the item you ordered is not available on that day or on a case-by-case basis.
Something is wrong with my order! What should I do?
Simply give us a text at 88313778 and we will be able to advise you accordingly.
How do I go about redeeming the $10 off for returning 3 boxes?
We will be collecting 3 boxes at one go, instead of 1 box at a time. Do keep them in good condition by washing them and making sure there are no damages to the boxes. Please also do not remove our logo sticker!
To return your boxes, simply let us know in advance and our delivery personnel will be collecting them when he/she makes a delivery to your place :)
Do note that COTD reserves the right to reject any boxes that do not satisfy our return criteria.
You will be given a discount code after we have confirmed the returns.
I have applied the promotion code but am still being charged for delivery?
Do take note that free delivery only applies to orders that exceed $70 AFTER the application of any discount code.
This means that if you have a discount code of $5, you would have to have at least $75 in your cart in order to qualify for free delivery after applying the code.
